I get to spend my evening at the wonderful Writer's Block in beautiful Spenard. I'm sure I'll have a friend or two joining me for fiddle tunes to go along with the poems and stories. Books and CDs will be available, and I'll be happy to sign them!
It might be 15 or 20 years since I last visited the studios at excellent KNBA.
I'll be signing books and playing fiddle at the Anchorage Museum store--I'll arrive around noon, and expect to be around for lots of the afternoon. It's the perfect way to start the long holiday weekend.

I'm going to make the most of my trip to McCarthy and lead a workshop and then jam session afterwards. It'll be through the wonderful Wrangell Mountains Center. We're still figuring exact time and place.
It'll be a string-band music party to celebrate Seward's First Friday for June. A few musicians from Homer and Anchorage will converge and make some fun.

My first ever public event on Kodiak Island--I'll be telling about my life as an Alaska writer, featuring the new novel of course, plus the poems, plus more (including a few fiddle tunes, I'm sure). It'll kick off my time there in Kodiak, which will include a bookstore event, and coffeehouse show.
We're figuring details, Might include a workshop, might include some music, will definitely include a book signing.
I'll be joined by Kodiak banjo player, Evan Coombes to conclude my 3-night Kodiak tour. There will be some smoking fiddle & banjo, to go with the fun and surprises.
