I'll be spending the day from 8:30 A.M.-3:00 P.M. at a table as an exhibitor and will also be showcasing. Representatives from schools in the region will be attending.

Opelousas show

Delta Grand Theatre, Opelousas

I'll be joined by Breaux Bridge multi-instrumentalists, Hogie Siebert on banjo and guitar, and Juan Romano on guitar and accordion. We'll have some surprises and special guests, including St. Landry Parish storyteller, Jim Phillips, and Breaux Bridge singer, Chelsea Ellison. And there's more than all that.

$10 general admission, $5 for students with IDs

I'll be on a panel with Renee Bodie, Herschel Freeman, Ken Carlson, and Angel Mercier, and will talk from a performer's perspective about playing at performing arts centers.

Virginia Beach show: From Tidewater to the Northern Lights

Sandler Center

I'll be joined by a pair of multi-instrumentalists: Brian Vollmer from Binghamton NY, and Dan Margolies, who'll be moonlighting from his job as History professor at Virginia Wesleyan. Expect a fun evening of Appalachian string-band music, original poetry, and Alaska-set storytelling. Plus a surprise or two.
