Show will include Aaron Jonah Lewis, Hannah Lewis, The Chris Westhoff Duo, Lucy Long & Steve O'Regan, and a guest I can't name until July (but now that it's August, I can say it's Dom Flemons) when tickets go on sale. It'll be quite the event!

I'll be joined by Lucy Long, Steve O'Regan, and maybe other Root Cellar String Band notables.
After my radio spot on Thursday, my first ever public Louisville show will be on Friday. I'm looking forward to it. Fun, inspiration, surprises.
I made some new friends at Clifftop this year, and I'll be on their radio show on Thursday afternoon, September 14. That'll be a blast. And we're seeing if I do something publicly that evening, or maybe the evening before. Stay tuned!
More details as I have it, but I'll have a new North American edition of the novel with Detroit publisher, Ridgeway Press. Expect music, literary shenanigans, and more. (Yes, I stopped by the store there on my drive through Michigan, and we'll be doing it up that Sunday afternoon.)
I'll be breezing through for the inaugural gathering at this indispensable farmette.
It must have been more than fifteen years since I spent a week in Menomonie as a guest of the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts. That time I did a mainstage show with John Fabke, did a creative writing event there co-sponsored by UW-Stout, visited schools and senior centers. This time, a solo show in their smaller space, The Spirit Room. It'll be big fun.
I'll be at Kyle and Cooper Orla's music shop, The Northerly. It'll be an amazing Living Luminary night! (I'll have myself some wonderful accompanists right there in house!) It's my first time in Duluth in well over a decade.
This is part of my residency at Central Lakes College--my last event of the visit. For those lucky attendees, It will be like taking a cruise to Alaska without leaving home.
Kelley Smith opens, and I'll be joined by multi-instrumentalist, Kyle Orla, from Duluth. Yes, fun, inspiration, and surprises throughout.
It's the opening week on campus and I'll be there as a visiting writer and musician both, doing events, and on Wednesday, beginning 9 am, I'll be visiting three classes to help get the '23-'24 Central Lakes College academic year rolling. I think I'll also be doing a reading sometime on Wednesday, with a few fiddle tunes. It's the Verse Like Water series. I'm looking forward to this part of it. Then there's a ticketed Friday night show, Kelley Smith will be opening, and I'll be joined by multi-instrumentalist, Kyle Orla. Fun!
THIS GIG HAS BEEN CANCELLED BY THE VENUE World debut (unless I pick up another gig a few days before) of the North American edition of my Now Entering Alaska Time novel. What better place than Ely, MN? What better spot there than Society Hall at Northern Grounds? No tickets, no admission charge, but we're taking donations, and I'll also be selling what I can.
Unless plans dramatically change, I'll be camping for a week, visiting friends, playing tunes, almost certainly doing some kind of event in some kind of fashion.
I'll play fiddle, tell stories, do a few poems--it's a turn-around after spending three weeks in and around Cortez and Mancos.
More news as I have it, but I'll be in beautiful Portland among friends.
Josh Krohn has a band who'll be there, and I'll be joining in to start eh evening with super-Homer-centric material, joined by David McCormick and some of Josh's band. I can hardly wait!
I'll be doing a kids' show at a toy store in Homer. Talk about fun, and the bag trick too.
Happy to spend a few hours on a Friday afternoon at this most excellent bookstore. I'll play some fiddle and mandolin, expect David McCormick to join me on one of his instruments, and figure to sell at least a few books.
