Folk Alliance Panel: Performing Arts Markets

Shawnee Mission Room in Westin Hotel, Kansas City

I'll be on a panel with Renee Bodie, Herschel Freeman, Ken Carlson, and Angel Mercier, and will talk from a performer's perspective about playing at performing arts centers.


Maryville TN residency

Clayton Center for the Arts, Maryville TN

I'll be in Maryville for two or three days for a variety of activities, including a Friday night show, with a fine accompanist or two. More details as they unfold, but I'll almost certainly be doing outreach both at the college and in the community.


ArtsLink residency

New Martinsville WV

Two days of school visits, plus an evening show on Thursday. More details as I have them.

I'll be joined by banjo player, fiddler, and guitarist Brian Vollmer, for a set of great kids' music--the kind that parents like too. And I expect a few surprise guests, maybe you.

Virginia Beach show: From Tidewater to the Northern Lights

I'll be joined by a pair of multi-instrumentalists: Brian Vollmer from Binghamton NY, and Dan Margolies, who'll be moonlighting from his job as History professor at Virginia Wesleyan. Expect a fun evening of Appalachian string-band music, original poetry, and Alaska-set storytelling. Plus a surprise or two.
